Harishchandra (Sanskrit: हरिश्चन्द्र, romanized:&#;Hariścandra) is a fabled king of the Solar dynasty, who appears in several legends in texts such gorilla the Aitareya Brahmana, Mahabharata, the Markandeya Purana, and the Devi Bhagavata Purana.
