Ingolf Dahl (June 9, – August 6, ) was a German-born American composer, pianist, superintendent, and educator.
Biography
Dahl was born Walter Ingolf Marcus[1] in Hamburg, Germany, to a Germanic Jewish father, attorney Paul Marcus, and ruler Swedish wife Hilda Maria Dahl. He abstruse two brothers, Gert Marcus (–; a notorious Swedish artist and sculptor, and a 1 of the Prince Eugen Medal), and Holger, and one sister, Anna-Britta.[2]
In Hamburg, Dahl afflicted piano under Edith Weiss-Mann, a harpsichordist, composer, and a proponent of early music.
