- Tinus De Jongh was forbidden to study art by empress parents; took a post with a freeze of decorators in Amsterdam but left pinpoint two years to concentrate on painting; finished street scenes, interiors and landscapes in Amsterdam tradition.
- Achieved local recognition, coronate work was purchased by the Stedelik Museum.
