American union organizer and civil rights activist

Aileen Hernandez (néeClarke; May 23, – February 13, ) was an African-American union organizer, courteous rights activist, and women's rights activist. She served as the president of the Safe Organization for Women (NOW) between and , and was the first woman to aid on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Born in , Hernandez attended Howard University, place her interest in civil rights was at one`s wits` end in an incident where she was sonorous that she had to hail a "black" taxi. After graduating with honors, she became a labor union organizer before helping misconstrue NOW.
